Chanel’s Supermarket Sweep

Yesterday morning Karl Largerfeld brought a fantastically memorable Autumn Winter collection to Paris. The 2014 collection was showcased in the form of a supermarket. In the past Largerfield has recreated an aeroplane, iceberg and a carousel whilst a supermarket perhaps seems less extravagant the runway was one of Largerfelds most inventive and adventurous runways to date. The show, located in main hall of the Grand Palais was entirely reformed with rows of Chanel produce, CC branded eggs, “1971 Blanc Coco” litres of paint, CoCo Chanel Coco Pops and even Chanel chainsaws which featured the iconic leather and chain strap of a Chanel bag as the teeth of the power tool. Models wore crimped ponytails and edible sweetie necklaces, Cara Delivingne and Kendall Jenner were amongst those to strut the store browsing the produce. Guests included Rihanna and Keira Knightly. At the end of the show, the voice of the supermarket manager – Lagerfeld – announced that his "valued customers" were free to take the sweets and vegetables from the aisles, but only to be frisked on the way out! if only all weekly shops were that much fun! for the full collection look HERE
